First Music Video - Enjoy!

Here is my first music video. The song is 'The Garden Path'.

Director: Brian Lloyd
Dancer: Aisling Kennedy

Music video shoot, and CDs on the way

Howdy folks,

I have some good news, and some good news. Which do you want first?

Ok, the good news.

My first music video shoot finished about half an hour ago in a dance studio in Dublin. Brian Lloyd, filmmaker and cinema critic, and all round professional and lovely fella, was behind the camera. Aisling Kennedy, a very talented ballerina based in London was in front of it.

Huge thanks to Brian and Aisling, and Katherine Lewis from INYB for all her help in making this happen. Also to Lucy Kilbride and Jane Magan, who were crucial to getting the contacts necessary to pull it off. Thank you ladies.

The second piece of news is that I'll have the album CDs in my hand very soon. I'll be signing each one with a personal thank you note. They will be available to buy from the site at €10 each.

More updates to come soon. Onwards!

Initial album reviews and response

Hi guys,

Let me start by saying an enormous thank you to everyone who has downloaded and listened to the album.

The response on Facebook and by email has been encouraging. I knew, releasing this alone, that it would be a real challenge to spread the word and reach new ears. I'm very grateful to several bloggers for helping with this.

So, in no particular order, thank you to:

Ronan from Swearimnotpaul.com: "It’s a gentle easy-going folk record building on his excellent EPs and live shows. The title track is particularly impressive" - www.swearimnotpaul.com/2012/01/download-conor-ebbs-drifters.html

Goldenplec: "Sounds absolutely lovely" - www.goldenplec.com/news/conor-ebbs-releases-debut-album-as-free-download/

Peter from 2U I Bestowhttp://freeirishalbums.wordpress.com/2012/01/17/conor-ebbs-drifters/

I'm grateful to everyone who commented, shared, and spread the word.

There is plenty more music on the way.

Conor

Thank You

Ladies and gents,

Before the album comes out I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people who helped to make this happen.

To my family and friends for your unrelenting support, inspiration, patience, and understanding. There is method to the madness, I swear (I think).

To Joey Kenny for seeing potential in a gig I played in Dublin back in 2006, and guiding me ever since. Also for mastering and playing on the album. To Michael Moloney for producing the album and adding his magic to it. It's been a pleasure working with them. I look forward to much more.

To Lute al-Raad for adding her beautiful vocals to 5 of the album tracks and creating an atmosphere I couldn't have achieved alone.

To Linda Coogan Byrne for her wonderful artwork. It has really lifted the album for me. It's been a pleasure working with her.

To Helen O'Donoghue from The Athenry Music School for helping me get the most from my vocals.

To everyone who has listened, commented, emailed, shared, and embraced the music in any way, shape, or form - thank you for believing in me.

Onwards and upwards.

Conor
