A Brief Bio

Conor Ebbs

That's me there, in that photo.

According to my memory, I've been in a love affair with words and music for a long time.

I started performing regularly in New York in 2004, playing cafés and venues in the city and state, including twice in the famous ‘Bitter End’ on Bleecker Street. I recorded my first demo in Valhalla with a great friend and songwriter Larry Cooley. It was a thoroughly enjoyable year, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have survived relatively intact.

On returning to Dublin in 2005, I gigged around Dublin for a couple of years in venues like Crawdaddy, The Sugar Club, The Cobblestone, The Cherrytree, Radio City. In 2006 I played at the Castlepalooza festival in Tullamore.

I recorded my second EP, Where we need to be, with Joey Kenny in 2009. It was better than the first. Progression is important. Music blogger Ronan Hunt-Murphy said: “It’s a well-polished set of four gorgeous laid-back folk tunes, full of sweeping, soaring melody”.

In 2010 I moved to a bungalow in Galway to finish writing my debut album, Drifters. I recorded it in Dublin in 2011 with Michael Moloney and Joey Kenny. It is now available for free download.

That's all I'm telling you.
